BCAP (BORIE CASTÉJA ANIMATION PARTICIPATIONS) is a family holding company created in 2011 and managed by Philippe Castéja, allowing the supervision of the various activities of the Castéja family. The name of the group refers to the Borie and Castéja families, famous figures in the world of wine for several centuries.

It is one of the major groups in the Bordeaux region, bringing together both wine-making and wine-making activities. Thanks to this dual expertise of merchant and winegrower, the BCAP group has a qualitative, rich and diversified offer.

  • The history of Mähler-Besse begins in 1892 when Frédéric Mähler left the Netherlands to settle in Bordeaux in the trade of fine wines and spirits. In 1905, he married Marguerite Besse and gave his company an international dimension. Over the years, the managers acquired properties in the Bordeaux region: Châteaux Cheval Noir, Picard, La Couronne, Alfa Bernarde and Bouquey. Mähler-Besse is today recognized for its range of spirits and its majestic wine cellar.

  • Founded in 1870 by the Borie family, Eugène Borie Frères became Borie-Manoux after the Second World War. Emile Castéja, son-in-law of Marcel Borie and father of Philippe Castéja, succeeded him in 1961 to take over the management of the House. Still at the head of Borie-Manoux, Philippe Castéja is accompanied by his son, Frédéric, to manage the company. Specializing in wines from the Bordeaux region and in particular Grands Crus Classés, Borie-Manoux continues to modernize and diversify to meet current demand and its evolution.

  • To each his own story, that of De Luze began in 1820. It was joined by several great Houses such as Chantecaille, Lalande and SVM. Thus, De Luze benefits from a hundred-year-old know-how which has made the success of Bordeaux wines. It was in 1991 that Rémy Martin, then the main shareholder, brought together all these Houses under the name of Grands Vins de Gironde. In 2022, Grands Vins de Gironde changed its name to return to its origins and became Maison A. de Luze. With its know-how and facilities in Saint-Loubès, A. de Luze masters the production of its wines from A to Z. Specialized in wines from the region, the company has also diversified into sparkling wines.

    Grand Cru Classé Pauillac

    Grand Cru Classé AOC Pauillac in 1855, Château Batailley is one of the oldest residences in Pauillac. Since the 18th century, five families have succeeded one another before it was acquired by the Borie family in 1924. The Château now belongs to the descendants, the Castéja family. Recognized worldwide for its Grand Vin, Château Batailley is one of the jewels of the Castéja family.

    1er Grand Cru Classé AOC Saint-Émilion, Château TrotteVieille is a charming 18th century charterhouse surrounded by a small park and its vineyard. This property, acquired by Marcel Borie after the Second World War, is today part of the heritage of the Castéja family. Recognized by professionals as one of the greatest wines of Saint-Émilion, TrotteVieille is a Premier Grand Cru of great elegance and superb finesse.

    Grand Cru Classé Pauillac

    Grand Cru Classé AOC Pauillac in 1855, Château Lynch-Moussas, acquired by Jean Castéja in 1919, has been one of the flagships of the family for a century. Passed down by Jean to his son Émile, and by him to his children, each generation of Castéja has taken to heart to respect, develop, modernize and enhance this Grand Cru of Excellence.

    Saint-estephe

    A true gem of Saint-Estèphe, Cru Bourgeois Exceptional in the old classification, Château Beau-Site is often compared to its illustrious neighbors, Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Estèphe. Bought by the Castéja family in 1955, the Château has since received numerous awards.

  • Château Du Domaine De L’église

    pomerol

    Great wine of the Pomerol appellation, near the bell tower in the heart of Pomerol, a former ecclesiastical property, the Château du Domaine de l'Eglise is historically anchored in the village of Pomerol with a vineyard dating from 1589. In 1973, the family Castéja acquires the Château and makes it one of the greatest wines of this appellation.

  • Château Haut-bages Monpelou

    Pauillac

    Considered the little brother of Château Batailley, classified Cru Bourgeois, Château Haut-Bages Monpelou is a typical Pauillac of the appellation. The vineyard is one of the 3 vineyards of Château Duhart-Milon, separated and bought by Marcel Borie after the Second World War in 1948.

  • Château Haut-madrac

    Haut-médoc

    Cru Bourgeois, Château Haut-Madrac is a sure bet in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Its vineyard adjoins that of Château Lynch-Moussas. Like Château Lynch-Moussas, it has belonged to the Castéja family since 1919.

  • CHÂTEAU La Croix du Casse

    pomerol

    A quality vintage of the Pomerol appellation, Château La Croix du Casse was taken over by the Castéja family in 2005. Thanks to the many works carried out on this property by Philippe Castéja, the wine has become a product rich in finesse, very representative of its terroir.

    Lalande-de-pomerol

    A small property in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, Château Pignon is located not far from the Château du Domaine de l'Eglise. Acquired in 1973 by the Castéja family, it is produced with the same care as the Château du Domaine de l'Eglise. Both fruity and intense, Château Pignon is a wine of beautiful balance.
